Spring Gala has been an annual event anticipated by University and community supporters each year since its inception in 1997. Hosting this event on its given Saturday is one of the highlights of the year for the UL Lafayette Alumni Association as it serves as our only fund raising event. Proceeds from the evening are dedicated to funding Alumni facilities such as the Alumni Center, a historic landmark of the community that we are proud to have as a focal point of the University.

Nancy Van Eaton Prince and Gail Romero will be honored on April 9, 2016 at the Alumni Center.  We are thrilled to recognize them this year for their leadership and philanthropic endeavors for our community throughout the years.

Spring Gala features both a silent and live auction including a variety of attractive items to bid on such as original artwork, unique gift assortments, travel opportunities and Ragin' Cajuns merchandise. The event offers fine food and entertainment throughout the night as well.

President-elect of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association, Angela Morrison, serves as chair of Spring Gala with June Picard serving as auction chair. In the last 19 years, Spring Gala has surpassed the $1 million milestone in net proceeds thanks to the generous contribution of the Acadiana community and our alumni. The Alumni Association greatly appreciates the support received to help our facilities thrive throughout Lafayette and the University.
